"Classics--A Map for Life"

The Department of Classics invites all interested students, faculty, and staff to a talk by Mr. Brent Hernandez, an M.A. alumnus of our program. 

Brent Hernandez currently serves as the Assistant Director for admissions, recruitment, and orientation for the College Park Scholars program.  Prior to College Park Scholars, he worked as an academic advisor and recruitment coordinator in the department of Letters and Sciences.  Brent received a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies from Loyola University, New Orleans in 2001. He earned a Masters of Arts in Classics at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2003 and served as a high school Latin teacher in 2003-2004 at Friendship Edison Collegiate Academy in Washington DC.  His talk will be entitled “Classics—A Map for Life.”
