Welcome reception for Dr. Katherine Wasdin

All are invited to a welcome reception for our new Assistant Professor, Dr. Katherine Wasdin.  It will be held in the Visitor Center, Turner Hall, from 3:30 to 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 3. 

Dr. Wasdin holds a Ph.D. in Classics from Yale University and taught at the George Washington University before coming to Maryland. Her fields of research include Greek and Roman poetry, women in classical antiquity, and the reception of the classics.  Her current book project is on the reception of the Roman poet Catullus by postmodern women.
