Study Abroad in Greece this Summer

For the second year running, Professor Jorge Bravo will be teaching a summer study abroad course on the archaeology, history, and culture of Greece.

For the second year running, Professor Jorge Bravo will be teaching a summer study abroad course on the archaeology, history, and culture of Greece. Students will spend time will spend time in many cities in Greece, including ancient Corinth, Kenchrees, Isthmia, Argos, Nemea, Nafplio, Epidauros, and adjacent towns. They will learn about important components in archaeological fieldwork, including data analysis, artifact processing and conservation, architectural survey, and stratigraphic documentation. In addition, students will hear guest lectures by an interdisciplinary team of scholars, visit important archaeological sites and museums in the region, experience modern Greek life in the small town setting of Archaia Korinthos, and enjoy hiking and swimming excursions. The course will run from May 26 to June 20. 

Although the deadline for scholarship applications has already passed, students can still apply to the program on the Education Abroad website at http://ter.ps/sugreececlas. The deadline to apply is March 1. Upon acceptance, students will be enrolled in CLAS380: The History and Archaeology of Corinth.
