The department hosted a successful conference on the Klassiki Anthodesmi, a "Classical Bouquet." Students of Classics & Modern Greek joined the organizers in presenting papers on the artist, the world's fair, the Greek sites as they then appeared, and the ideals and values they represented in the context of 19th-century Greece, France, and the United States.
