Emily Erickson is currently working towards her Masters degree in the Department of Classics at the University of Maryland. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 2015 with a degree in Classical Studies and from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with a post-baccalaureate certificate in Classics. Her research interests include the archaeology of the Hellenistic and Roman Near East, specifically the influence of the classical world on the development of Levantine cities. She has been working at the site of Ashkelon in southern Israel since 2012. In her free time she enjoys practicing yoga and playing with her cat, Cicero.
