Marissa Krmpotich

Marissa Krmpotich is originally from upstate New York and graduated from Patrick Henry College (Purcellville, VA) in 2012 with a BA in History. Her undergraduate coursework focused on Greek and Roman history, classical mythology, and the Greek and Latin languages. From 2012 to the present, she has taught Latin full-time at Rockbridge Academy, a classical Christian school in Millersville, MD, where Latin is required from 3rd through 10th grade. Her 8th grade Latin II class covers Chapters 19-40 of Wheelock's Latin, her 9th grade Latin III class reads excerpts from Caesar, Cicero, Livy, Pliny, and the Vulgate, and her 10th grade Latin IV class focuses on Vergil. Her Certamen club includes students from 7th-12th grade and enjoys competing against students from schools across Maryland. Over the summers, Marissa tutors all levels of Latin and teaches Introduction to Classical Greek to motivated high school students. She is also an assistant cross country coach and enjoys running in local races from 5Ks to marathons.
