Patricia obtained a M.B.A. in Business Administration, a M.S. in Environmental Management, and a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Fine Arts, all from University of Maryland University College (UMUC). Patricia has completed the Leadership Development Training course (LDI) for Executive Management, the UHR HiPAA Training and has completed the Research Administration Certification Program here at the University of Maryland, College Park.
As the Business Manager of Classics, Patricia manages all finances and administration of the department. She is the principal recipient and liaison for all reports from campus program offices. She assists in the processing and tracking of promotion packages for tenured track professors, reconcile and reviews all departmental financial reports and manages progress reports of graduate students. Patricia manages Federal Work Study Students program for Classics and supervises the student workers, monitors contractors for accuracy and completion of assigned and requested tasks, while ensuring office administrative processes are effective with high performance support. Patricia provides administrative support for the chair and faculty to ensure effective office operations. She maintains the Student Information System (SIS) for the department and possesses a comprehensive working knowledge of the organization and its function within the university.
In Patricia's spare times she can be found participating in various community outreach programs. In 2013 and 2014, with the Maryland-National Capital Parks and Planning Commission, Patricia participated in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL) where they made world record history. She also participates in the University of Maryland's Maryland Day. Patricia's interests are swimming, singing, painting, dancing and acting. In 2016, Patricia made her silver screen debut in the movie titled, "Almost Christmas", which was directed by David E. Talbert. Yearly, you can see her in various performances around and about the D.C. Metropolitan area. She performs yearly in a theatrical performance titled Christmas Celebration.
