Rachel Mullervy graduated cum laude from Mount Holyoke College in 2011 with a B.A. in Classics and Art History. While at Mount Holyoke, she participated in the Archaeological Field School at Jefferson’s home in Monticello, Virginia. In her junior year, she spent a semester at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome. For two summers, she continued her Greek and Latin study at the Latin and Greek Institute in New York City.
After graduating from MHC, Rachel spent a year at the American Numismatic Society studying and cataloguing Roman coins, something she began at the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum her senior year. Her main interests include Roman history and historiography of the late Republic and early Empire, ancient warfare, imperialism, sport and spectacle and imperial portraiture.
