Classics Graduate Students Noah Cogan and Emily Mohr to Present at CAMWS

University of Maryland Classics Department graduate students Noah Cogan and Emily Mohr will be presenting their papers at the 111th annual CAMWS Meeting in Boulder, Colorado on Saturday, March 28.

University of Maryland Classics Department graduate students Noah Cogan and Emily Mohr will be presenting their papers at the 111th annual CAMWS Meeting in Boulder, Colorado on Saturday, March 28. Emily's paper is entitled, "Agalma in Euripides and Its Implications for Women in 5th century Athens" and Noah's paper is entitled, "Rapper's Delight: The Modernization of Plautus." Noah also recorded his rapped adaptation and English translation of a canticum (song) from Plautus' Casina. It is viewable here.

The Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS) brings together classicists of all levels. It provides them with an opportunity to earn grants and scholarships, be published in The Classical Journal, and present their work at the annual conference.
