Associate Professor of Classics, Jorge Bravo, has been appointed Chair of the University Senate's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee

A longstanding member of the University Senate, Professor Bravo has been appointed to serve as chair of its Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the 2021-2022 academic year. The mission of the committee, which includes members of the University's faculty, staff, students, and administration, is to support the efforts of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion by actively promoting an equitable, diverse, and inclusive campus that is free from all forms of discrimination. Its agenda this year will include a review of the University's policy on threatening and intimidating conduct, which was implemented in recent years as one of the recommendations of the Joint President/Senate Inclusion & Respect Task Force to nurture an inclusive and respectful climate for the campus community.
