VISIT TO THE CAPITOL

A group of Classics students and faculty visited the U.S. Capitol on November 26, 2013 at the invitation of Ms. Rebecca Hammel, photographer in the U.S. Senate.  The visit was arranged by Dr. Judith Hallett as part of the Classics capstone course, CLAS 409, which she was teaching.  The Capitol is rich in architectural and symbolic references to Greco-Roman antiquity.
