UMD celebrates the generous donation of the National Italian American Foundation and the bequest of Mr. Ernest L. Pellegri.

The first annual Mid-Atlantic Undergraduate Classics Conference (MAUCC) was held on March 15. The conference is the brainchild of Maryland Classics major Erik Shell and Gregory Callaghan, a Classics major at William and Mary.

The Department wishes to congratulate Erik Shell, a Greek and Latin major, who has been awarded a Maryland Summer Scholars Grant for summer 2014.
