Phi Beta Kappa

Phi Beta Kappa, the highly esteemed national honor society, has a chapter at the University of Maryland, College Park, of which our own Professor Judith Hallett has been elected President for 2013-2014.

Although students cannot apply for membership in Phi Beta Kappa, they should be aware that in order to be eligible for nomination (by a committee of faculty members), they must fulfill certain academic requirements.

If you are an excellent student and would like to be considered, review the requirements and plan to include the mandated breadth of liberal arts and science courses in your academic program.
