6th Modern Greek Studies Conference: Classical Greece and the Greek War of Independence

The UMD Department of Classics is holding its 6th Modern Greek Studies Conference on Saturday May 7, 2022. Faculty and students of the Modern Greek Studies Program will present papers discussing representations of ancient Greece in the Greek War of Independence. The folk music ensemble of Spyros Koliavasilis will offer musical intervals on music and songs from the times of the war. A dinner reception will conclude the event.
