Classics Saturday, October 24, 2026 9:00 am - 2:00 pm Marie Mount Hall, The Mall Lawn

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Classics department was excited to host students from local Maryland and DC middle and high schools for an Odyssey-themed Certamen. The MD Junior and Senior Classical league helped by coming up with quiz questions and exciting activities, and Prof. Levine gave a fascinating lecture on how texts survived from antiquity, with samples of papyrus and parchment for students to handle.
