Classics Present at the Maryland Day Celebrations

Classics at Maryland Day

The Classics Department participated in the Maryland Day celebrations of 2022.

The Classics Department had a great time celebrating Maryland Day and sharing our love of Greek with students, alumni, and the wider community! Our table in the ARHU tent was staffed by Gabrielle Johnson and Jamie Colopietro, as well as by faculty members Profs. Eric Adler, Lillian Doherty, and Katherine Wasdin. We prepared individualized name tags by writing guests' names in Greek, while chatting about the Greek alphabet, the origins of various names, and ancient mythology. The event was a great success and we were excited to take part in person again.
