Dr. Parara Presents at NEMLA Anniversary Convention

On March 21-24, 2019, Dr. Polyvia Parara successfully presented a new paper based on her research project entitled “Classics in Reception: Cultural Identity and the Unique Case of Classical Bouquet.” The talk was delivered in Washington, D.C. at the 50th Anniversary Convention of the Northeast Modern Languages Association, which is based at the University at Buffalo, New York.
Dr. Parara has also had a paper accepted by the 26th biennial Symposium of the Modern Greek Studies Association. The meeting will be held this fall at the California State University in Sacramento, California. Dr. Parara’s paper will focus on the Classical Bouquet and the formation of Modern Greek identity in nineteenth-century Greece.
