Dr. Polyvia Parara to present at prestigious Modern Greek Studies workshop at Boston University

Dr. Parara will deliver a paper entitled “Collaborative Learning and Cultural Inquiry: A Pedagogical Model for Modern Greek Language Courses.”
The Department is pleased to announce that Dr. Polyvia Parara has been accepted to present at the 11th Modern Greek Studies Association Workshop, titled The Future of Greek Language and Culture Pedagogy: New Challenges and Opportunities. The workshop will take place on October 25th, 2025, at Boston University, with the collaboration and local support of BU’s Department of Classical Studies and the Modern Greek Program.
Dr. Parara’s presentation, “Collaborative Learning and Cultural Inquiry: A Pedagogical Model for Modern Greek Language Courses,” will explore innovative teaching methodologies that integrate collaborative learning with cultural exploration, offering a dynamic approach to language instruction in the modern classroom.
This workshop brings together scholars and educators from across the field to engage in timely discussions about the evolving landscape of Greek language and culture pedagogy. Dr. Parara’s contribution reflects her ongoing commitment to advancing effective and inclusive practices in Modern Greek education.
