Prof. Wasdin took her Latin class to explore the National Gallery of Art
Students in Prof. Katherine Wasdin's Latin class on Ovid's Metamorphoses and other myth enthusiasts gathered at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC on Saturday, April 2nd. The group, led by Prof. Wasdin, explored mythological themes in works from the early Medieval period through Rococo France. Highlights included the statue of Mercury in the rotunda, the Renaissance fresco cycle on Cephalus and Procris, and El Greco's Laocoön.
